Fees effective from 1st April 2024.
At Active Kids Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing an amazing nursery and learning environment for young children at affordable rates. We are open 51 weeks in the year and close for one week during the Christmas break.
Browse our rates and discover more about registration by reading the information below. All fees are inclusive of meals, nappies, and extra activities. To register, there is a £100.00 deposit. The deposit can be refunded if 4 weeks notice is given.

Please Note
- All Fees Are Due Monthly, in Advance
- Any Outstanding Fees from the Month before Will Be Added to the Next Month’s Invoice
- Late Payments May Incur a 5% Surcharge Fee - No Refunds Will Be Given for Non-Attendance, Nor Do We Swap Sessions – This includes Sick Days and Holidays
- Bank holidays are included in this fee
- We Require One Month’s Written Notice of Your Child Leaving, or Decreasing/Changing Sessions
- If You Wish to Increase Sessions, We Will Attempt to Provide This When Available
- We Recommend That Each Child Should Attend 2 or More Sessions a Week, Enabling Them to Settle and Get the Best from Their Time Here

We recommend that each child should attend 2 or more sessions a week, enabling them to settle and get the best from their time here. If you wish to increase the number of sessions, we will attempt to provide this as soon as additional sessions are available.

Extra Hours
All Extra Hours Must Be Agreed during Opening Hours
- Additional 30-Minute Care – £8.00
- Additional 1-Hour Care – £15.00
- 7:45 a.m. Early Start – £9.00
- 7:30 a.m. Early Start – £15.00
- 6:30 p.m. Late Collection – £15.00
Funding
All 3- & 4-year-olds and some 2-year-olds are, from the term after their second or third birthdays, are eligible for early years free entitlement (EYFE) funded hours.
At ActiveKids Nursery, this is offered to a maximum of 10 or 15 hours a week dependant on whether your child attends on FULL YEAR CARE or TERM-TIME ONLY.
Some 3- & 4-year-olds are also eligible for extended funded hours to a maximum 22.5/30 hours a week dependant on FULL YEAR CARE or TERM-TIME ONLY.

Upcoming changes to childcare support | Childcare choices
Funded sessions at ActiveKids Nursery include a number of free hours, plus additional hours and meals charged at a normal rate.
A maximum of 8 hours of funding can be used per session.
Please see some examples below.
E.g. An eligible 2-year-old, attending term-time only, 8AM until 1PM four times a week has 15 funded hours per week, and you will be invoiced £71.00 per week for the additional hours and extras (meals, nappies, extra activities)
E.g. A 3-year-old eligible for extended hours, attending all-year-round 8AM until 6PM three times a week has 22.5 funded hours per week, and you will be invoiced £49.50 per week for the additional hours and extras (meals, nappies, extra activities)
E.g. A 3-year-old eligible for extended hours, attending term-time only, 8AM – 3.30PM four times a week, has 30 funded hours per week and you will be invoiced £87.00 per week for the additional hours and extras (meals, nappies, extra activities)

Financial Support
Can I get any financial support for my fees?
Yes, there is a great financial system for parents called Tax Free Childcare run by the government. For every £8 you pay in, the government tops up £2.
To be eligible for Tax Free Childcare:
• Both parents, or one parent in a single-parent household, must be working, earning between £142.56 per week and £100,000 per year.
• Self-employed parents are eligible to join.
