If you have a garage drive or patio in your garden, why not let the toddler’s learn and have fun in the sun, learning to scribble on a summer’s afternoon – on a grand scale? Chalk is cheap and comes in a large range of colours and washes away with water or rain…

You will need: Coloured Chalk (available from The Works, various Pound/Discount stores, Argos, Art Shops or Wilkinsons.)

A patio or concrete surface!

Hopscotch!

For Pre-School Children (under ‘5s), help them create a hopscotch board with chalk to hop, skip and jump their way to better balance and coordination. This will also reinforce the first steps when counting to ten.

Younger children may have fun jumping from drawn on stepping stones in various shapes and colours!
